Diners at a restaurant in Salt Lake City left the staff in tears by surprising them with an astonishing $10,000 tip.

Last Friday, Steven Harward, a regular at Monarca in Salt Lake City, brought along about 20 friends for a delightful evening at the Mexican restaurant. After relishing their meal, he reached into his pocket, pulled out $10,000 in fresh $100 bills, and stunned everyone.
"As they were leaving, they called me over and said, 'Hey Alfonso, can you come with your crew? We want to thank you because we had a great time.' And I said, 'Of course!'" shared Monarca owner Alfonso Brito with WTHR.
The genuine kindness from Harward and his friends didn't just touch hearts; it carried a profound meaning for Brito. He reflected, "When we moved to America, we had nothing to our names. We had twenty dollars in our pocket and we started working in the restaurant business as dishwashers."
Brito took to the restaurant's Facebook page to express his gratitude to the customers for their act of kindness.
"At Monarca we wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the incredibly generous gesture to our staff. A $10,000 tip left us all in awe and filled our hearts with immense joy.
