By FoxIsHere

A firefighter's recent act of rescuing a stray dog resulted in a fateful encounter, leading to a new forever home for the sweet canine. As per the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter's post, Mark Wojnar from Buffalo's Ladder 2 was one of the people who helped rescue the dog, found running near an expressway entrance, along with a kind-hearted stranger. They stopped traffic and apprehended the dog, and Wojnar later brought the furry friend to the shelter.

According to a post from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter (CBAS), a dog was found in poor condition, with dirty and matted fur indicating that he had been through a difficult time. However, things started to look up for the dog after firefighter Mark Wojnar, who had rescued him, visited the shelter and decided to adopt him.
The shelter expressed gratitude towards Wojnar and his mother, who gave Bentley (as the dog is now known) a new home. Wojnar later commented on the post, stating that Bentley is adjusting well to his new surroundings.

The firefighter who rescued Bentley expressed his gratitude to the shelter staff and volunteers, as well as the animal control officer who assisted in chasing the dog down.
Wojnar also mentioned that Bentley now has a "big brother" named Brody, who he also rescued from the streets in 2015.
Thank you for being a hero and rescuing Bentley twice! We are thrilled that Bentley has found a loving home — it was clearly meant to be.
