There are some animal heroes who cannot ignore the plight of homeless dogs trying to survive on the streets. In a heartwarming video, a woman was caught on camera helping a poor dog that was clearly suffering. She likely thought no one was watching, but her kind actions were captured and the clip has now been shared globally. Be warned, it's a tearjerker.
According to The Dodo, the woman had just left a cafe in Zonguldak, Turkey on a cold and rainy day when she noticed a homeless dog seeking shelter from the weather. The poor dog was lying on the ground as close as possible to the cafe, trying to stay warm. The woman couldn't ignore the dog's suffering and what she did next has touched the hearts of people around the globe.

In just a few seconds she made a small gesture that made a huge difference to this dog. She sacrificed some of her own comfort for this shivering animal.
But this small gesture did not go unnoticed and when a video of her was posted online she was praised for her actions across social media, print media and TV.
One person recognized the generous woman as her friend Duygu Elma and she was tracked down to be interviewed.
“I couldn’t imagine that my actions would receive this attention. I’m very surprised about it,” Duygu told The Dodo. “The weather was so cold. I just couldn’t take it when I saw him shivering.”
