Doggy found alone and tied to gate — cops are now searching for the culprit

It is sad how some people treat their pets. Think about it, how could someone simply abandon their pet, leaving them afraid and alone not know what their future holds.

For example, this heart crushing photo image depicts the impact this sort of abandonment can have on a poor dog — and now cops are looking to find the person responsible for it.

The Workers at RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre, in Leicester, England, were surprised last week when they discovered a lonely dog tied up to a fence outside, left there overnight all alone with no one to care for.

It was evident that the owner had left her there—and the dog looked very frightened.

“She was stood with her head pushed through the bars of the gate, her ears back with these big, brown puppy dog eyes,” a spokesperson said in a press release.

“She just looked so sad and frightened, it was heartbreaking.”

Not only was the dog abandoned, she was found in poor condition: she was underweight and her ribs were visible, and there were small cuts on her nose.

The RSPCA took her in, and named her Misty. She was well taken care of, although she continued to feel sad and confused about the situation.

Misty was microchipped, however when they reached out to the contact they found she had been rehomed years before, making it hard to find the person who abandoned them.

But they are determined to get to the bottom of this situation and bring the culprit to justice. “This matter is being dealt with directly by RSPCA HQ as this is now a criminal case,” the RSPCA wrote on Facebook.

“We’re now hoping the public may be able to help with our investigation so anyone who recognizes Misty should contact our appeal line on 0300 123 8018,” said RSPCA inspector Karl Marston, the case’s investigator.

Misty is not available for adoption yet, but hopefully will be in the future. The RSPCA says they will provide updates about her status.

This poor heartbroken dog! We hope investigators will find who did this to her and bring them to justice… and more importantly we hope that Misty recovers and finds a forever home soon.
