She Sprinkled Black Pepper Into The Dryer, After Seeing Why, I Do It Too!

We’ve all thrown something in the dryer hoping that when it comes out, it will look good as new. However, clothes lose its richness and color when they are placed into the dryer. It sucks to watch our favorite clothing items come out faded and two shades lighter. Also, once those clothes become faded, we have to purchase new clothing so it takes a hit own our wallet.
I am sure you’ve seen your favorite shirt go from a rich red to a faded pink that you would never wear a day in your life, after a few runs through the dryer. It can be a frustrating experience to take your clothes out of the dryer only to see them look faded worn out. So much for that fresh looking shirt you just purchased. Many people would run back to the store where they bought their clothing and rant about the quality of the item they purchased and how it loses color fast. The fact remains that colors just fade at times. And if you are the type who loves looking great in bright clothing, you will constantly replace your wardrobe.
Nowadays companies have detergents that created to specifically protect your clothing and their rich colors. But it takes time, effort and money to experiment with these detergents. We have something that you may want to try if you have fallen victim to faded clothes however. You may be able to cure your clothing colors by using an ingredient that you have in your kitchen already. All you need is some dirty laundry, laundry detergent, and ground black pepper.

First, you’ll need to gather your materials, along with some brightly colored clothes that need cleaning.
Next, you’ll wash this batch of clothes in the washer with your favorite laundry detergent. In addition to using the detergent, you will throw in a couple of teaspoons of ground black pepper. Start your washer and put the clothes through from the normal cycle, making sure that your water temperature is set to cold. Having it on the cold temperature will help with the fading too.
When you remove your clothes from the dryer, they should be as good as new and looking as brightly colored as the first day that you purchased them.
Now, you may be wondering if your clothes will end up smelling like pepper. Don’t fret. The rinse cycle will clear out any remaining pepper, ridding the clothing of the smell.
Commenters had laundry advice to share…
“That is Wild, Cooking your clothes in the washing machine! My mom told me to put a cup of Ammonia into the wash to kill the Bacteria if you are using cold water to wash with! I do and it works, but the water here smells and is full of Arsenic poison, so I have to filter the water plus I put in a 1/2 cup of scented Bath Slash for girls in the last rinse cycle to make my clothes smell clean! You can get a good size bottle for a Dollar at the Dollar Tree store!”
Are you going to try this trick?
