She Is Furious Because Her Mother Cut Her $5000 A Month Allowance

Most children get an allowance for completing certain tasks and chores around the home. The pay base is usually based on the family and what chores needed to be done. This money is usually used to spend on smaller items or to save for something really special. This one teen girl is enraged because her allowance was cut severely. According to her, this pay cut is requiring her to live like a “peasant”. Her allowance was decreased from $5,000 to $1,000 a month! That is correct, you are reading that correctly
Naturally, the 15-year-old from Beverly Hills took her sob story to the Dr. Phil show to complain about the ridiculous drop in her allowance and argue that she needs to be paid more, at least $2,500 a month because she “works all the time.”
Nicolette and her mom, Nina, appeared on the show, with the teen explaining that her mother gave her everything she ever wanted: “amazing schools,” a driver, nanny, trainers, but she explained: “I want my mom to understand that I can’t live off $1,000 a month, and I grew up on a certain lifestyle. She can’t just take that away from me immediately. It’s the only life I’ve ever known.”

Nina admitted that her daughter had become spoiled, saying that Nicolette used credit cards without any credit limit at a “very young age,” and that she would rack up $10,000 in charges some months, on top of getting a $5,000 allowance.
Nicolette discussed her love of shopping and buying expensive clothing and handbags, showing off spendy shoes and a Louis Vuitton bag, among other expensive prized possessions.

Nina believes her daughter has spent $100,000 in the past year, as Nicolette admitted: “I know I am a spoiled brat, but I enjoy the lifestyle, you know? People are going to hate on me, but they wish they were me.”
Nina further explained that she felt the allowance cut was necessary because Nicolette had become a “monster,” a decision that didn’t sit well with her daughter. Nicolette has had to endure the pains of having less money for spending, saying, “I feel like a peasant. I can’t live like this anymore. I’m always out of money. If you ask me, I think my mom should be giving me at least $2,500 a month just to cover my basic expenses.”
Nina has found in the past that she gives Nicolette more money because she doesn’t want to “deal with the drama” when her daughter makes her life “a living hell” when she runs out of money. Nicolette noted: “My mom refers to me as a Beverly Hill brat. It’s true. I’m a brat — and I’m not going to change.”
Nicolette had written to the Dr. Phil show, hoping to convince her mother to pay her more allowance a month for her lifestyle, but there were lessons to be learned, of course. Nina admitted that she spoils her daughter because she feels guilty about being a single mom who works. Dr. Phil laid on some tough love, telling Nina that “overindulgence is a form of child abuse” because it “does cripple a child.” He suggested giving more love and less money.
As for getting a job, which Nina agreed was a good idea, Nicolette said she would “absolutely not” work or accept a smaller allowance.
