Amber Alert Cancelled After A Child's Body Was Found Nearby

A state-wide Amber Alert was issued for a 10-year-old girl named Kiaya Campbell near the Denver area in Thornton, Colorado on Thursday. The Amber Alert has now been cancelled after a body was found just a few miles away during the search.
The Amber Alert stated she was last seen wearing an orange Denver, Broncos shirt and light blue pants with a black, white, and grey camouflaged back pack. The young girl is 150 pounds, stands at 5’4, has blue eyes, and blonde hair.

The body has not yet been identified as Kiaya Campbell, but an investigation is currently ongoing.
According to the Denver Post, she went missing after walking to a shopping center with a 15-year-old boy (the son of her father's girlfriend) on Wednesday before they got separated in a ‘heavy rain storm’. Hundreds of volunteers assisted with the search for the child.

Little information is known regarding her situation, so authorities are requesting help from the public. The website states to report any information to police at 911 or 720-977-5069.
Police believe she could have been 'swept away' in the storm. However, authorities have not ruled out any possibilities if the body turns out to be Campbell. As of right now, no one is in custody.

If you live in the area, please share this information with friends and family. Please keep Kiaya Campbell's family in your prayers. Thank you!
