An 11-Year-Old Girl Has Finally Returned To School After Giving Birth

An 11-year-old girl has finally returned to school to study with her classmates after giving birth to her stepfather’s baby.
According to Yahoo7 News, the girl, who currently lives in Papua New Guinea, was forced to give birth to the baby boy earlier this year.
Authorities say that by the time doctors discovered the young girl was pregnant, she was already too far along to legally terminate the pregnancy.
Instead, Femili PNG, an organization that receives funding from the Australian aid program, stepped in to provide the terrified young girl with counseling while she prepared to give birth to her stepfather’s child.

"Although we couldn't take back the crime, as a group everyone made it work," Australian Federal Police sergeant Mandy Arnold said of Femili PNG’s role in the young girl’s long road to recovery.
The girl, identified as Becky (not her real name), has now finally returned to school after giving birth to a healthy baby boy, who was given up for adoption.
"To see her in her school uniform on the first day back at school, to me that was so special," Sgt. Arnold said.
Police say the 11-year-old girl’s stepfather has since died in prison before going to trial, according to Yahoo7 News.
Yahoo7 News has since shared this story on Facebook, where hundreds of commenters prayed that this young girl one day gets the peace she deserves.
“Poor little girl, but I am glad she is continuing with school. Hope the step father and any associated enablers are severely punished,” one woman commented.
“She didn't deserve this kids should kids it's a shame when they should be able to trust family around them who are suppose to be there to keep them safe not harm them I hope he rots in jail,” another added.
“I hope he does the rest of his life in a cell and that she gets all the help and support to recover and cope with the horrible thing that happened to her and that although there is a new born involved let it not be judged for what happened the child as well as the mother are innocent and are victims and lets get it out there and stop it from happening to other children,” one woman wrote.
“Poor child who gave birth and baby who will not know his mother/family having been adopted.. glad to hear the mongrel died in jail... I hope it was jail retribution,” another commented.
