When your kids start growing up, they start doing new things.They want a sense of independence and start going out with their friends in the evenings. You wish they would just stay at home with you on the sofa and watch TV with you.
The thought of them being out in the big, bad world alone makes you pretty terrified. They are vulnerable and still very easily led. The last thing you want is for them to be persuaded to do something that they don’t really want to do, especially if it’s illegal or unsafe.
At the age of 16, teenagers are exposed to drugs and alcohol and they want to experiment. They are curious and I guess they are stuck at the awkward age of being a kid and an adult.
But when this 16 year old girl started to experiment, she took everything a little too far…
Her and her cousin took full advantage of her parents being out of the house and decided to raid the Dad’s mini bar. The result wasn’t just a drunk 16 year old with her head in the toilet.
She was rushed to the emergency room, and what the doctors told the mom in the aftermath is pretty shocking.
If the girl hadn’t been found when she had, she would have died that night.
Mom, Kelliee Jo Nelson of Minnesota, wrote on her Daughter’s Facebook to make EVERYONE on her friends list aware of what happened and to urge parents to keep their alcohol away from their teenagers reach…
