Man Approaches Patrol Car Window, Cop Shocked At What Lands In His Lap

While doing some paperwork in his patrol car, a cop was enjoying a breeze through his cracked open window, when a man came out of nowhere with a surprise that landed in the officer’s lap. The passerby noticed the unsuspecting officer sitting there and seized the opportunity when he saw it.
The unnamed police officer didn’t see anyone approaching when the guy passing through the area saw him parked there and tapped on his window. With recent attacks on law enforcement and cops wearing targets on their backs, the officer was rightfully reluctant to roll down his window to this man who seemed insistent.

With uneasiness filling the air around the patrol car, the cop let his guard down to see what this citizen needed. That’s when he discovered that the man, later identified as Tyrone Franklin, was there because he had something for the officer that the brave man in blue didn’t expect until it landed in his lap.
“Not knowing what is happening, he rolled down his window in fear,” said Ashley Ferrell-Franklin, who stood as watch for her husband who didn’t tell her what he was about to do until she saw him doing it. Tyrone recognized that officers in our nation are under attack, yet they go to work every day anyway with increased fear. Because of that, they are in need of God’s protection as they selflessly serve and protect strangers.

Tyrone asked the officer if he could pray for him and was just as shocked by the cop’s response as the officer was about the man’s request. “The cop looking stunned gave the biggest smile and said please do with relief,” Ashley described in her post on social media. Tyrone reached inside the patrol car and grabbed his hands from his lap, then held them and he asked God for special care over this man’s safety so he can return home to those who love him.
“My husband is my hero,” Ashley said about the amazing man she married. “Instead of entertaining the hatred, he saw the police are in a scary predicament as well and in need of God,” she added. “This is what God is about.”
