After Working An Overnight Shift, These Cops Returned To A Man's Home To Help With His Yard
By Mike-Ross

A team of off-duty police officers in Kentucky demonstrated exceptional kindness by extending their help to a local resident who, due to health issues, was unable to maintain his yard. Their actions went well beyond the typical duties of law enforcement.
During their support to Florence Fire and EMS on a medical call at a residence, Florence Police Officers Michael Stanaland, Hunter Jacobs, Andrew Fields, and Macean Cook observed that the property's lawn and landscaping had become excessively overgrown.
Upon further inquiry, they discovered that the resident's health was in decline, preventing him from tending to the lawn and landscaping on his own.

After they got off work from their overnight shift, they gathered their own lawn equipment and went back to the home to mow the lawn and clean up the landscaping.
"In speaking with these officers, none of them did it for recognition; they did it because they knew the right thing to do is to always try and help those in need," the Florence Police Department said.
"They hope this will inspire others to never pass up an opportunity to perform an act of kindness."
