By Mike-Ross

Police officers are known for their dedication in assisting animals in distress, but one trooper's actions surpassed all expectations when she went the extra mile to aid an abandoned dog.
Trooper Kayla Moore, from the Michigan State Police's Gaylord Post, received a call about an abandoned dog, as reported in a department release.

Without hesitation, Moore promptly responded to the call, picking up the abandoned dog and offering her a ride to the shelter. Little did she know that this encounter would lead to a remarkable connection. As they spent time together, a special bond began to form between Trooper Moore and the dog. The Michigan State Police shared on Twitter that they appeared to be a perfect match.

When the pair arrived at Antrim County Animal Shelter, Moore wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet. Sensing that fate brought them together, she filled out an application to adopt the sweet dog herself.
She named the dog Rosie and gave her a forever home — a sweet happy ending to this story.

MSP Seventh District said that Rosie was part of a litter of dogs that their canine teams had been searching for, and that she was one of “numerous dogs” abandoned in the area lately.
The department encouraged people to help out by adopting other available shelter dogs.
