Tragic: Twin Toddlers Drown After Alzheimer's Stricken Great Grandmother Leaves Back Door Open
By Mike-Ross

Tragedy strikes as twin toddlers lose their lives in a devastating accident: How did this happen? Heartbreaking details below.

Last week, an Oklahoma City family experienced a devastating loss when their twin toddlers, Locklyn and Loreli, drowned in their backyard pool. The heartbreaking incident occurred when the great-grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, apparently left a back door open. By the time the children's mother, Jenny Callazzo, discovered them in the pool, it was too late.
Jenny, a stay-at-home mom and boutique owner, lives with her large family, including her grandmother, six children, and husband Sonny, a marketing executive. The twins' tragic accident has left the family in shock and mourning.
According to a relative, the toddlers slipped out of the house unnoticed and made their way to the pool. Aerial footage of the home showed a pool filled with murky, algae-covered water, adding to the tragedy.
While police are investigating the incident, they do not suspect foul play. Our hearts go out to the Callazzo family during this incredibly difficult time.

A few days before the accident, Callazzo, 37, posted pictures of her twins outside the home with the caption “just want to play outside.”
Neighbors said they saw the twins’ distraught mother get into the back of an EMS vehicle as paramedics battled to save her children.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family with expenses.
“These beautiful babies were taken from us too soon. Anything you can give to help with expenses would be greatly appreciated. We appreciate everyone’s love and support,” the posting said.
Laura Gamino, the injury prevention coordinator for trauma at OU Health, is urging parents to recognize the danger that water poses to young children. In an interview with the Mail, Gamino emphasized that accidents can happen in a split second and that children are often attracted to water, but lack the skills to save themselves.
According to Gamino, drowning is a sudden and silent event, which can make it even more dangerous. Children may not be able to scream for help because their mouths are full of water, making it essential for parents to take preventive measures.
Gamino recommended that homeowners install a 4-foot-high fence around their pools with a gate that young children cannot open. This will help prevent any future accidents and keep children safe. Remember, every second counts when it comes to water safety, and taking steps to protect your children can make all the difference.
