Home sweet home again: Elderly widow lost her home, a loving neighbor stepped up and bought it back for her.

Question: do you consider your neighbors to be family? Well, 89-year-old Angie Tyma's neighbors believe this to be true. When Tyma was evicted from her home of 35 years due to foreclosure, she found herself without employment or a place to live. But, in a beautiful turn of events, her neighbor Danielle Calder bought Tyma's home and offered her a place to live as her tenant.
What made Calder go to such great lengths for Tyma? It's simple: Tyma is the heart of the neighborhood. Everyone adores her. She's spunky, vibrant, and walks her two adorable dogs every day. Without her, the community just wouldn't be the same.

“Quite honestly, I didn’t need another house,” Calder, 65, said in an interview with TODAY. “But I needed her. I couldn’t see her living in a motel room… she’s been here so long. Everyone looks out for her.”
When Tyma’s neighbors surprised her with the newly painted house on her birthday, she was speechless. “I was in a state of shock,” she said. “I couldn’t even talk.”
That’s what being a good neighbor is all about.
