Rescued beagle from animal testing leaps into savior's arms, thankful for new lease on life.

When the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and other animal rescue groups came to John Ramer and his team at the Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary, they realized they were facing possibly their biggest challenge yet: saving over 4,000 dogs from the Envigo Breeding Facility, a group that bred animals for laboratory testing. Based at Rolling Hills in Guernsey State Park in Southeastern Wyoming, John and his team stepped up to take on this enormous mission.
Shortly after the rescue, John had to separate one Beagle from the rest because he was being too noisy.
Uno the Beagle had a difficult time adjusting to his new surroundings. However, John was patient and eventually won Uno over. In no time at all, the frightened little beagle became attached to John. Uno loved to follow John around the farm and even accompanied him on his chores.
One day, John took Uno to the grassy plains, and the little dog was overjoyed to play in such a wide open space for the first time. Uno ran around happily, and then he raised his front legs, asking John to pick him up. From that moment on, John knew that Uno was a special dog, and he had found a new home with the Ramers.
Uno’s personality began to change, and he became more confident in his new home. He also showed love and support to other rescued dogs.
