Teens track kidnappers and rescue victim after seeing girl in backseat mouth “Help me!”

Aaron Arias, 19, and his friend Jamal Harris, 17, became heroes after saving the life of a kidnapping victim.
Aaron had just picked up Jamal from work when the teen boys noticed a cute girl sitting in the backseat of the car next to them. Jamal was sitting in the passenger seat and glanced back at the girl several times. That’s when he noticed her mouth the words “Help me.”
At first, Aaron was sure that Jamal was joking, but then he saw it with his own eyes and knew they had to call 911.

“Yes, I’m on the highway. I’m witnessing a robbery. Not a robbery, a Kidnapping,” Arias said in the 911 call, which was later released to news outlet. “It’s me and another guy. So we’re checking out the girl in the backseat because, we’re like, ‘Okay, she’s kind of attractive,’ and then all of a sudden the guy is turned back, looking at us,” he continued.
“We looked in the backseat and the blonde female in the back was saying, ‘Help me’ or something, whispering it. So I’m assuming it is a Kidnapping.”
Aaron and Jamal followed the Kidnappers for more than an hour while staying on the phone with authorities. Eventually, the Kidnappers noticed they were being followed and began swerving and driving Eratically.
Fortunately, law enforcement was able to join the scene. After a brief chase, the Kidnappers were brought to justice.
The unidentified 25-year-old victim had been forced into the vehicle after attending a young professional’s party near Dallas, Texas. Officers found a handgun and a knife in the kidnapper’s possession. The kidnapper was identified as Charles Atkins Lewis Jr who was charged with aggravated kidnapping.
