Girls discover a veteran’s wallet stuffed with cash, see the ID and immediately knock on his door

Twin sisters Makhia and Makyla Vincent were walking to their school in Detroit, Michigan when they noticed a wallet in the snow.
The 14-year-old twins took the wallet and looked inside, discovering credit cards and hundreds of dollars in cash. They pulled out a military ID and immediately knew they could make a difference in someone’s life.
Makhia and Makyla’s grandfather is a veteran as well. “I would hate for that to happen to my granddad, so I knew we had to return it,” Makyla told WJBK.

Marc Walsh, a disabled Marine Corps veteran, had dropped his wallet in the snow on his way home from the grocery store. It was too late by the time he realized his wallet was missing; he had no idea where it was. All he knew was that by losing all that money, he was taking a huge financial hit, as Marc had been struggling to find work.
Makhia and Makyla found Marc’s address and held the wallet up to the home security camera before abandoning it on his front step and fleeing. He wasn’t in the house at the time.
When Marc’s roommate informed him that his missing wallet was now mysteriously sitting on their front porch, he rushed out.
WJBK, a Detroit television station, heard Marc’s story and set up a meeting between him and the twin sisters. He was able to thank them in person and return the favor in a spectacular way, proving that kindness is contagious.
