A 90-year-old great-great-grandma almost loses life to Coronavirus, makes astounding recovery

There has been many stories, articles and publications over the past week that have been sad, tragic and devastating.
People all around the world continue to lose their lives from the coronavirus – some victims never even had the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved ones.
Each we deal with sad & tragic stories. But at this moment, hearing these stories each day makes you want to escape from everything and forget about this terrible virus.
On a positive note however, there are news stories out there that are very important to highlight. Everyone needs faith, hope and heartwarming news – now more than ever!
90-year-old Geneva Wood was healthy and living on her own when her world changed completely just after Christmas. Geneva suffered a stroke and was sent the Life Care Center in Kirkland, Washington.
Fortunately, Geneva was able to start her rehabilitation quite early and it all went well – she made progress quickly. As a result of her hard work and incredible will, Geneva regained her ability to walk, use her right arm, and talk.

According to her daughter, Cami Neidigh, the staff said that Geneva was just days away from being able to go home.
But once again Geneva would receive bad news. Her nursing home went into lockdown because of a coronavirus outbreak at the facility.
“Just when my mom beat one thing, another ‘thing’ rolled her way,” Cami said, according to a feature in Seattle Refined written by Geneva’s granddaughter-in-law, Kate Neidigh.
Geneva herself also contracted the coronavirus earlier this month. It didn’t look good and doctors told her family to prepare for the worst.
“Harborview called and didn’t think she was going to make it. Her lungs were filling up with fluid and they thought she wouldn’t last 24 hours,” Cami told K5News.
The family even went to the nursing home to say their final goodbyes. They brought Geneva’s favorite potato soup and were pretty sure it was the last time they would see her alive.
“I’m going to fight this for my family and make everyone proud,” an isolated Geneva told Cami.
”We thought we were going to lose her”
Low and behold, the 90-year-old would once more shock her family and health care professionals. Suddenly, she started showing signs of improvement and began to recover.
Geneva started looking more like herself again, later demanding drinks and homemade potato soup, according to her family. As for today, her family say she’s still not symptom-free, but she’s continuing to improve.
“When she had that major stroke, we thought we were going to lose her. She’s come close to death and she rallies back, and that’s my mom,” said Cami.
