Recall Alert: Dozens Of Blood Pressure Medication Tablets Recalled After Cancer Causing Impurity Found

Torrent Pharmaceuticals is expanding the recall for blood pressure medication Losartan.
The FDA says the company is adding 36 lots of the potassium tablets and 68 lots of a different potassium tablet to the recall. The recall was prompted after the company found traces of a potentially cancer-causing impurity in the medication.
The FDA says patients need to talk to their doctor before quitting the medication and starting an alternative treatment.
