Grammy award-winning singer Adele and her husband, Simon Konecki, have decided to go their separate ways. The couple is splitting up after more than seven years together.

News of their split was confirmed on Friday. “Adele and her partner have separated,” a statement to the Associated Press said. “They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
The two are parents to son Angelo, who was born in 2012.
Sadly, fans of the singer have used this unfortunate family news to anticipate a new album coming out. Many songs on her past albums have been about heartaches that have stemmed from the end of relationships. However, many of her fans have come to her defense and encourage others to support her during this difficult time rather than anticipate new music.

While Adele has remained relatively private about her relationship, she spoke of her husband during her acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammys. “Grammys, I appreciate it. The Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son — you’re the only reason I do it,” she said.
According to the Associated Press, "Konecki co-founded Life Water, an eco-friendly brand of bottled water in the U.K. Funds from the company assists the charity that Konecki runs, Drop4Drop, which provides clean water to countries in need."
