Dog Sneaks Into UPS Truck And Hides. Suddenly Owner Leaves This Note Around His Neck

It is a common assumption that mailmen and dogs do not see eye to eye. However, this isn't entirely true. And we have a story that dismisses that assumption completely. In one inspiring & beautiful story, a UPS deliveryman and a hungry Golden Retriever struck up an unlikely friendship. It all started when he threw the beautiful pup a dog cookie one day, then again the next day. This continued for a few weeks, until one day he forgot to bring the dog a treat.
On that fateful day, the deliveryman had to rush out of his house. He forgot the dog’s favorite treats at home, so sadly he didn’t have anything to give him. The puppy didn’t let that stop him though!
He became determined to get his favorite snack. The golden disappeared from the side of the truck as the UPS deliveryman started to drive away. He assumed the dog went back inside, but that wasn’t the case.
Once the deliveryman reached his next destination, he opened up the back of his truck to a surprise. The golden was hiding in the back of his truck and he had no intent on leaving until he got his favorite treat! This poor pup was so determined to get a snack that he hopped up into the back of the truck.
Somehow he managed to do it so discretely that the driver never even noticed! He needed to finish a few deliveries, so he brought the dog along. This time the pup was in the front seat and buckled in for safety.
The dog’s owner was freaking out by the time the duo got back to his house. He was so grateful to the deliveryman for keeping his dog safe, but that wasn’t his only emotion!
The owner found the situation to be absolutely hilarious, so he decided to share it on the web. He went on Reddit and posted a photo of his dog wearing a piece of paper around his neck confessing to his silly “crime.”
“The UPS man forgot to throw me a cookie. So I snuck into his truck and took a ride around the neighborhood. He had to deliver me back to my house,” the note read.
Treats are a key way that guys like this UPS driver are able to make friends with the neighborhood pets. Even the most aggressive dog can be tamed with a few well-timed snacks! If you are a canvasser or mailperson, it never hurts to carry around a few treats just in case the neighborhood dogs end up being a little more aggressive than you anticipated.
Tons of Redditors shared funny moments that their pets had with the mail and delivery people in the neighborhood in response to the now-viral post. Apparently, this sort of behavior is actually a lot more common than anybody imagined.
“I had a goat do this once. She had a passion for eating paper, boxes,” said Pangwiny. “Our regular UPS and FedEx guys knew about her… but one day we had a sub driver… I watched the Fed Ex guy hop out of the front door, throw open the back and while he brought in the package, the goat darted out from her pen and into the back of the truck… He got about 200 feet out of our driveway before I saw him slam on his the brakes and a goat come skittering out. I have no idea how many labels she managed to rip off during her tenure in the FedEx truck. I imagine it wasn’t pretty!’
