Stranger Recorded Hanging Suspicious Bag On Family's Door. Homeowner Looks Inside It & His Eyes Light Up
By Mike-Ross

In Moses Lake, Washington, a young family was surprised once they noticed what a young teen boy did after he crept onto their front porch. The young boy's every step was recorded on the family's hidden camera aimed directly right at the family front stoop. The family had recently moved into the new home, so when they noticed the bag they were a bit unsure about what was inside of the bag. However, a look at the security cam let them know exactly what they were dealing with.
Junior Villarreal first warily spied a suspicious bag left on his front door knob. He was hesitant to open the bag, unsure of its contents.

After reviewing the security camera footage, Junior saw the stranger lurking around his home. He wondered what he was up to.
So after opening the bag, Junior was simply stumped. In the sack was an American flag.

Junior admitted that the American flag flying on his recently purchased property was "tattered" and it dawned on him that the young boy had likely left the flag as a replacement. He could not believe what the teen had done!
The man immediately turned to Facebook to get answers. He posted a screenshot from his security camera footage to find out just who this sneaky patriotic kid was.
"Attention. He didn't do anything wrong but does anyone know who this kid is. He drives that light blue jeep parked on the street.... Well, I just bought a house that has a flag pole with an old tore up flag still on it and wasn't gonna change it out until the weather got better but this kid was kind enuf to stop at my house and leave a new flag on my door knob yesterday. That's what was in the bag. Well, anyways. I just wanted to thank him and tell him I appreciate what he did. That was so generous of him."
A few hot tips later and Junior found him. He reached out to 18-year-old David Phillips to thank him for his kindness and insisted on repaying the young man for the flag.
David said that was not necessary and shyly dismissed the attention he was starting to receive. So Junior touched based with David's mom, Simone, who shared a bit more information about her son with Junior.
It turns out that David and his 16-year-old son Luke were passing by David's home one day when they noticed his flag. They approached their mom and talked about buying the family their own fresh flag.

Instead, Luke removed his very own American flag off the wall of his bedroom and used it to give to the Villarreal family without a second thought. Simone told Fox News that the Phillips are a military family and the American flag means a lot to them.
The boys' grandfather served in the Air Force and other family members were in the military. Junior said it was refreshing that the teenage boys made such a gallant gesture for his family.
What a wonderful thing these two boys did for the family! Thank you to all of our military personnel both present and past!
