Famous Pizza Restaurant Sticks Note In Their Window, Vows To Never Take It Down And Here's Why...
By KyleStevens-

When we see homeless people, we’re often very judgmental and assuming. We might think that they have a drug problem that drove them to the streets or that they’re lazy and should just get a job. While this is true for some people, others simply had a bad string of luck and wound up on the street begging for food and change. We rarely assumed that homeless people are just trying their best. But when employees at a Little Caesars pizza shop in Fargo, North Dakota saw a homeless man digging through the trash every day, they began to realize that he really did need food.
He wasn’t just someone looking to get their next fix or hit. This man was in need of basic things like food, shelter and water. Because Fargo has a large homeless population, the pizza shop employees were used to seeing beggars and panhandlers. But when they approached the man, he always seemed embarrassed and was afraid to speak up. That made the pizza workers even more curious. So they did some digging of their own…
They started watching him. And that’s when it hit home. This man was looking for food scraps because he was hungry. As soon as they had confirmed their assumption, the pizza workers typed up a letter and posted it in their glass window offering the homeless man a meal much tastier than something he could find in the dumpster.
The posted note read:
“To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple of slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.”
While this small act of kindness made a huge difference for this homeless man in Fargo, Little Caesar’s is no stranger to helping the homeless. They’ve been doing so for years The location has always donated every bit of leftover food they had at the end of the night to the homeless shelters in the area. And not only does their unpurchased pizza to go people who will appreciate it, these people get a tasty and filling meal unlike what they’re normally used to. It is a treat that they look forward to.
But to post the letter in the window and show the dumpster diver basic human respect was an act that meant a lot to him.
Although he doesn’t have a home to return to at night, he knows he is welcomed home when he comes to the Little Caesar’s location. There is always a hot meal waiting for him even when his luck has turned as sour as it can. And instead of diving in the dumpster looking for food, he now is welcome inside and just has to ask for what he wants. It is a big deal for this man and the other homeless people in Fargo who need a bite to eat to get through the cruel North Dakota winter.
