Sprinkle This Kitchen Ingredient Into Your Bath And Heal The Body Of Skin Problems, Pain and More

A detox bath is something we should all use from time to time. It’s usually made of Epsom salt that helps us remove any toxin out of our organism, but it’s also abundant in various health benefits and is good for our complete health.

Today, we’re going to present you an improved bath combination: Epsom salt combined with some Himalayan salt! When these two are combined, they can help us against an array of health issues. They can’t cause any side-effect, they’re not very expensive and they’re very effective.

Epsom Salt

Epsom salt is a mineral compound found in water containing high levels of sulfate and magnesium. It looks like salt crystals, so that’s where it got the name salt. But, be careful when you buy your salt since it can be of agricultural or food grade as well as for personal care.
Our skin is the largest detoxification organ. During an Epsom salt bath, sulfate and mineral are combined together and they remove all the toxins through your skin. They are also absorbed through the skin and increase the levels of sulfate and magnesium in our body. There are numerous studies which have proved an increase in the levels of magnesium only from lying into an Epsom salt bath. Plus, it doesn’t cause any side-effects!

Himalayan Salt

Himalayan salt is thought to be one of the oldest, but also purest and the most uncontaminated salts in the world. It gives our body numerous minerals that are essential for us. By adding it into your bath, you’ll feel like you’re surrounded by energy. All of the minerals and salts from it will be absorbed by your skin and you’ll intake them instantly.

Health Benefits of Salt Bath

These types of salt contain different minerals, but the salt bath with them combined offers the same benefits to us:

Increases blood circulation

Accelerates healing of swelling, small cuts, bruising, strained or torn muscles and ligaments

Decreases the acidity and helps balance the pH levels in the body

Relieves pre-menstruation symptoms (bloating, migraines, cramps)

Eliminates toxins through the skin

It’s full of very powerful antiseptic properties and can help you treat skin conditions like rashes, eczema, psoriasis, acne, and dry skin

Improves respiratory health

Soothes sunburn and insect bites

Relieves arthritic joint pains and muscle cramps

Promotes an improved sleep, relaxes your muscles and reduces stress

Purifies, cleanses and nourishes your body with essential minerals

How to use this super detox salt bath?

Dr David Jockers claims that the amount of the salt should be set by the weight of the person. Here are some amounts that should be used for a standard size bathtub. It should hold 25-30 gallons of water.

Epsom salt measurements:

Children under 60 lbs: ½ cup

Individuals between 60-100 lbs: 1 cup

Individuals between 100-150 lbs: 1½ cups

Individuals between 150-200 lbs: 2 cups

For every 50 lb more—add an additional ½ cup of salts

If you haven’t done this before, you’d better start only with Epsom salt. Later you can also add some Himalayan salt.

Note:

Don’t use this salt in case of burns, open wounds, cardiovascular problems or you are pregnant. If you’re taking some medications for a long time, talk to your doctor first before you decide on starting this type of detox.
First you should do is rub your bathtub so that you can remove any dirt from it. Then, fill it with some warm water of about 37o Celcius (or 97o Fahrenheit). This will be enough to dissolve both types of salts. Make sure your water isn’t too hot, especially in case of problems with high blood pressure!

Don’t add oils, shampoos or any soaps. After you use the salt bath don’t rinse! You can just towel dry.
Before you enter the bathtub, have a lighter and healthier meal. It will prevent you getting dizzy from low sugar or an empty stomach.

You must be hydrated. Drink a lot of water before the process and after the bath. Drink a bottle of water while you take the bath, too! You can listen to some music to help you relax more.

Make sure you stay in it for at least 40 minutes. Your body will have enough time to absorb the minerals from the salts successfully.
You may feel a bit dizzy. First, drain the water and then, get out of the bathtub slowly.
It may happen that the water in the tub has become milky in color when you finish with the bath. It depends on your health. That happens because the toxins are eliminated from your body. When people work in industrial areas or are smokers, their water may even be brown in color.
The best usage is 2 -3 times a week, but if you can’t handle it, do it at least once.
