Years Ago, Police Issued Warning Of Ecstasy That Looked Like Candy. This Halloween, Be Aware Of Any Child's Candy That Looks Like This
By Mike-Ross

As another Halloween year is approaching, we would like to alert everyone, including parents of a dangerous situation that could put your children in danger. Halloween means kids trick or treating; going from home to home and gathering an assortment of different sweets and treats. However we must always be aware of the dangerous the lurk during these times. For example, over two years ago, police warned people about ecstasy pills being made to look like candy.
Police in Jackson, Mississippi said the pills can have pictures of different superheroes on them which may be appealing to children, or be shaped like dominoes, AZ Family reported.
“If your kids get these for Halloween candy, they ARE NOT CANDY!!! They are the new shapes of 'Ecstasy' and can kill kids through overdoses!!! So, check your kid's candy and 'When in doubt, Throw it out!!!' Be safe and always keep the shiny side up!” the Jackson Police Department wrote on its Facebook page, according to AZ Family.
They added that they hadn't seen any cases of children receiving or taking such pills.

However, officers have detained adults across the country in possession of them, according to WREG.
One example was in Louisville, Kentucky, where a man was arrested and found carrying drugs with Disney characters on the pills in 2015.
The warning came just two weeks after a post raising concerns about the danger posed by such pills was shared by thousands of people on Facebook.
“I really truly believe somebody would do that,” Porsha Tate, a mother of three, told WREG.
A Doctor at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis tried to reassure concerned parents.
“We haven't seen that here at Le Bonheur. It goes back to when I was a kid. Everybody worried about that sort of thing, and I think parents have to remain vigilant,” Chief Pediatrician Jon McCullers said.
Although this particular situation may of been two old, the dangers of suspicious candy is something that should always be put on alert each year. Each Halloween, there is some kind of harm or danger that a child is in and it is import to always warn others of these situation so that everyone stay safe and can enjoy their Halloween in peace.
