Little Boy Becomes Sad When Father Is Sent To The Air Force, Now Watch When He Knocks On Neighbors Door

5-Year-Old Brian Kelly maybe young but he still thinks of the days when he would spend time with his father, like when they'd spend time doing yard work together. But this last month, those father-son bonding days were cut short because his father, Dan Kelly, an Air Force Captain, was sent overseas.
Brian began to cry heavily, he loved his father so much and didn't want to see him go.
Each and everyday, Brian would wait and count the days that his father would come back to him.
Their neighbor Dean Cravens, used to watch them enjoy time together outside, and could tell that the little guy missed his dad. But he didn’t know just how much until one day, he got a knock at his door.
“Nobody ever comes to our front door, so I was like, OK, who could that be? And you could see him through the window, it’s Brian. And I just looked at him and I could tell he wanted to do yard work and I said, ‘Sure, meet me around the garage. We’ll get some tools out and go,” said Dean.

And they began to do some work together. In fact, they have been doing some yard work together almost every day for the past 6 weeks! Dean, who has a day job, and his own family, always makes time for Brian.
There are many other things Dean could be doing, but he loves seeing the smile on Brian’s face, so he never says no.
“He’s just there to help Brian get through the days,” said Barbara, on how Dean has been “filling in” for Dan.
We are so glad that Dean is supporting Dan in this way, serving his troops. We hope that he will continue to do so until Dan get’s back!
