Stranger At Yard Sale Overhears Girl Whispering To Her Mother, Takes Immediate Action

Yard sales are a simple, easy and effective way to get rid of a bunch of stuff that's no longer wanted to make space for new things. This activity can be a fun way to get to know your family and friends a little more as well. Preparing for a yard sale takes time and you have to scan and examine each and every item that we own, set them up and price them. This can bring forth many memories that were created when you bought the items.
Yard sales also give us the chance to interact with new people who may be interested in the items that you may have for sale. When one woman who was operating a yard sale overheard a little girl talking to her mother, she felt uncomfortable. Then she saw the little girl's mother face and she knew she had to act immediately.

But when the little girl turned to her mother and utter the following words, the woman hosting the garage sale felt her heart shatter into thousands of pieces.
“I overheard the little girl very politely ask her mom if there was anything she could do to earn the money to buy the TV. She did not just ask if she could have it. She asked if she could earn the money herself,” the woman shared on the Love What Matters Facebook page. “She was 6 years old. Her mom told her she could not afford it right now, then kissed her forehead. The little girl replied, ‘It’s okay mommy’ and grabbed her mom’s hand.”
The woman hosting the garage sale was impressed with the little girl’s discipline and willingness to work for things in life.
“I could tell this mom and daughter had gone through something and the interactions between them were so genuine, so precious. I saw the little girl look over at the TV every so often…My heart was mush.”
After a lot of consideration, the mother and her daughter brought the items they wanted to buy up to the woman. The moment of decision had arrived. And the woman knew what she had to do.
“I said, ‘I would like you to have these things, no charge.’ Tears filled her eyes as she thanked me, told me how much it meant to her, and that I had no idea how much I was helping her right now. Then she asked, ‘but why?’ I said, ‘I sense that you are going through something right now, and I don’t need to know what that ‘something’ is. But you obviously have not let it deter you from being an amazing mom, and you are raising a wonderful, beautiful, joyful, polite, little girl.’”
After giving the mother and her daughter permission to take anything they needed, the woman wrote, “I quietly asked her if I could give her little girl the Disney Princess TV… I wish everyone could have seen the look on that beautiful little girls face when my husband carried that TV to her car. I will never forget it.”
