A Homeless Man Is Forced Out Of Restaurant. Then Woman Hears Voice Say "Don't Let Him Get Away"
Bonnie Monroe grew up as a Christian and was always taught to give back to those in need, always. No matter if it was a few words of encouragement, love or a physical item - whatever Bonnie had, she was willing to pass along to others.
So when she saw a homeless person turned away by customers at a busy restaurant, Bonnie knew she had to step in.
Bonnie watched in disbelief as customer after customer denied a homeless man food. These people were chomping down on massive meals, yet they couldn't share a sliver for someone who was clearly struggling.
That's when God's word struck Bonnie and she jumped into action. The kind young lady shared what happened next on her Facebook page.
The following post has been edited for the sake of understanding.
"This is Byron, and yes he is homeless. Don't take this post as me 'bragging.' I don't need recognition for the things I do, it's all from my heart. I just wanted to open some of your Christian eyes.
I watched Byron go to three tables asking for food everyone turned him away. But I sat there hoping he came to me BUT he didn't. As I watched him walk away from the restaurant something (God) told me, 'Don't let him get away. GO GET HIM!'"
"Being obedient, I jumped up and chased him down. When I caught up with Byron I asked him if he wanted to have dinner with me, my son, and Zaee Sanders (a friend).
He told me that he was hungry and would love to eat with us, but those people didn't want him around and he doesn't want to get hurt, so he'll wait in the alley and just will eat our scraps.
I refused and walked him straight to our table and told him order whatever he wanted. He was hesitant and kept asking if I wanted him to leave - my heart sunk. I made sure he didn't leave until he was full. We ate, laughed and even danced a little - we enjoyed our night together.
And my question to you how can you claim you love God but WON'T lift up your brothers and sisters? Stop looking down on those who are down on their luck, because God giveth and taketh away.
