If You Eat Baby Carrots, Stop ASAP! They Can Make You Very Sick

It is important for everybody to eat their vegetables, but sometimes doing that can be difficult because making vegetables tasty, or fun to eat can sometimes be a difficult task to accomplish.

That’s one reason baby carrots are among some of the most popular vegetables in the United States today.  They are small, easy, fun, and tasty to snack on, especially for kids.

Many people think that baby carrots are a special type of carrot that is small that has been genetically modified, however there is much more to a baby carrot that you might think before it gets in your mouth.

Knowing where your food comes from is important, and this is no exception.   Few people actually know how baby carrots are made and where they come from.

The answer is actually quite simple.  Baby carrots were invented in 1986 when a farmer realized that he was throwing away just too many carrots that did not turn out long and strong that he could send to the grocery store.

So that farmer took all of his deformed or ill looking carrots, peeled them, and shaved them down to a small size and called them baby carrots.  Now instead of ugly stumpy carrots, you have normal looking, cute, peeled, baby carrots!

However, baby carrots have reached a point where before they get to the package which you buy them in, they are given a chlorine bath because so many germs get on the equipment that shave and cut them, touching every surface of the carrot.

Eating any type of food that is doused in chemicals is generally not a good idea, and should be avoided at all costs if possible.

Don’t worry though, because baby carrots taste exactly the same as regular carrots, and eating carrots is very good for you!

In fact, a serving of carrots which is equal to one medium carrot of about 1/2 cup of chopped carrot will give you the following list of vitamins for the day.  There are so many!

210% daily dosage of vitamin A 10% vitamin K 6% vitamin C 2% calcium

You can also use carrot seed oil to cook with which contains potassium, vitamin B6, copper, folic acid, thiamine, and magnesium.  There is just an unlimited supply of great vitamins and minerals that you can find in these veggies.

Be careful if you buy a bunch of carrots though, because besides betters, they have more sugar in them than any other vegetable that you can get.

Carrots carry so many more benefits, such as the fact that they are packed with antioxidants which help prevent cancer, and falcarinol which is a natural toxin which protects against fungal diseases.

Carrots help you brain health by offering memory improvement, and liver protection because they help protect your liver from the toxic effects from chemicals that we find in our every day lives.

The main point to take away is that carrots are great for you, just try your best to stay away from baby carrots, and stay strong and healthy!
