After School Refuses To Let Mom Take Her Child Home, She's Spotted Outside Smashing Her Car Into Other Vehicles

A Florida mother’s blood alcohol level was so high when she went to pick up her child from elementary school that she reportedly attacked police officers and smashed her vehicle into two cars, Tampa Bay Times reports.
27-year-old Renata Congleton arrived at Trinity Elementary School in New Port Richey Friday afternoon to pick up her child, but once school staff noticed how drunk she was, they wouldn’t let her leave.
Fox Tampa reported that witnesses described the mother as “extremely drunk” when she stormed away from the school after being told her child couldn’t leave in a car with her.
The school decided to call police to tell them about how the intoxicated mother had fled in her car, so officers searched the area for her.

Before cops picked her up, Congleton allegedly slammed into two vehicles and violently started kicking and scratching the arresting officers until they were forced to take her to the ground.
According to an arrest affidavit, Pasco County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene to find her sitting on the ground near her front door before she began swearing at them belligerently.
The mother’s BAC was measured at .413—nearly five times the legal limit—at the time of her arrest.
She was charged with child neglect, battery on an officer, and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $15,000.
