Family’s Christmas Decorations Stolen From Lawn, Then THIS Happens
By Dreamer

Many would argue there’s no better time of year than that of the holidays given the usually generous mindset. One family experienced quite the negative incident after their homemade Christmas decorations were stolen from their front lawn.
Luckily, however, not everyone happens to be such a Grinch.

Jordan Langheinz and her family, of Kenner, Louisiana, were experiencing quite the year. After some financial difficulties, they decided to make homemade decorations rather than not decorate at all. According to WSMV:
Langheinz stated that the family decided to make homemade decorations this season due to pricey medical bills. Her young son recently had a ruptured brain aneurysm and spent the entire summer in ICU and a rehabilitation program, Langheinz said. He was hospitalized again in November for more unexpected brain surgery.
So they did just that. Unfortunately, after coming back into town after their Thanksgiving travels, you can imagine their dismay to realize that someone made off with their festive decorations. “It broke my girls’ hearts, and mine, we felt so violated,” Langheinz described. “We have endured so much heartbreak this year that we were shocked someone could do something so heartless.”
Despite not being able to do all that much about it, she took to the internet in hopes that those responsible for the theft would at least see what she had to say about it. In a post to her Facebook page, she wrote in part:
“For us this true Christmas isn’t about gifts. And if you needed our décor, maybe you needed it more than us, we hope it brings you joy, and maybe just maybe this message will find you, and you’ll understand that you didn’t take our Christmas, and hopefully you will have the chance to experience a Christmas with hearts full just like ours!”

Then, the unimaginable happened – a good (and anonymous) Samaritan replaced their Christmas decorations. Lo and behold, the family was surprised to see a brand new Grinch cutout, padlocked to a stake in the ground with a sign next to it reading, “Thou shall not steal.”

The new-found decorations also came with an unsigned Christmas card that explained:
“Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store… Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more,” the letter reads. “We weren’t about to let some Grinch steal your Christmas! Your family is so beautiful and a real inspiration to all of us for how to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas all year long.”

Needless to say, the Langheinzs were extremely grateful and took to social media yet again to express their appreciating in yet another post that read in part, “So to my anonymous philanthropist thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! You have made our hearts grow and you have given us such a priceless gift this Christmas!”

It’s nice to know that in a world that seems to be devolving into nothing short of a selfish and dog-eat-dog one, that people such as this still exist. What do you guys think – could we all afford to lend a helping hand as this anonymous do-gooder did? Let us know in the comments.
