Mother Left In Tears While Buying Diapers After Finding Unexpected Note

Notes on cars and receipts seem to be popping up everywhere across America, but messages left on diapers are a bit more rare. One sticky note on a package of diapers found in Tacoma, Washington has left a woman in tears.
Aman Da Elle headed out to a Safeway grocery store in Tacoma to refresh her dwindling supply of diapers on a cold and dark night. As she picked up the diapers and headed toward the cash register to pay for her purchase, she felt something strange on the package. What she found was a note, and it left her in tears.
“I had to make an emergency diaper run at Safeway. As I walked to the register, I felt what I thought was a coupon taped onto the plastic, turned over the package in my hand, and found this note,” said Aman in a Facebook post.
After investigating further and reading the note that says, “From one parent to another. Merry Christmas!” she noticed that a $20 bill was stuck under the post-it note and meant to cover the cost of the diapers.
Aman was in such shock at the display of kindness, she took to her local news Facebook page, King 5 News, and posted her photos and story along with a message for the giver. Her message was simple and as heartfelt as the gesture of paying for a package of well needed diapers.
“[I]f the person who did this for me sees my message, I just want you to know it couldn’t have come at a better time,” she explained. “I was feeling overwhelmed and overlooked and you made me feel so special and I’ll always be so grateful for it. Merry Christmas!”
Aman also says that as she told the manager what happened to her in his store, he told her that she was the fifth person to tell him this story. In a society in which stories of good deeds are buried under articles about freedom trampling politicians and the sheep who support them, hearing good news is a rarity. Knowing this came at a good time for Aman should melt all of our hearts, even if it’s only for a moment.
