Sheriff Told To Remove ‘In God We Trust’ Decal, His 4 Word Response Is Priceless
By Dreamer

A Texas sheriff is under the gun, as at least one atheist organization is attacking him in every way possible. After demanding the man remove “In God We Trust” decals from all his police cruisers, he had a short and simple reply – and they are not going to like it.
News of the incident comes from the Childress Police Department out of Childress, Texas, where Police Chief Adrian “Ottis” Garcia decided to stick “In God We Trust” decals on the backs of all the police cruisers under his command. Once atheists caught wind of the matter, well, let’s just say they weren’t too happy.

It wasn’t long before the department got a letter from the Freedom From Religion Foundation, essentially demanding the stickers be taken down “or else.” According to Chief Garcia’s Facebook post on the matter, “I responded back with this letter.”
In its entirety, the letter read:
Dear Annie,
After carefully reading your letter I must deny your request in the removal of our Nation’s motto from our patrol units, and ask that you and the Freedom From Religion Foundation go fly a kite.
— Respectfully, Chief Adrian Garcia
Well, I think we can all agree, they’re not going to be happy when they get that in the mail.

Police Chief Adrian “Ottis” Garcia
Chief Garcia says that support for the decals has been overwhelming, meaning he has the entire community standing behind him. We’ve seen atheist organizations like this trying to pick fights and using threats to get what they want, but it’s clear that the majority of Americans have had enough.
If the Freedom From Religion Foundation thought they had their hands full with just the police chief, imagine how they’re going to feel when they learn he has his entire community behind him. Seems that they really don’t have a better option than to go fly that kite, huh?
