Woman Is Completely Shocked When She Sees What A Marine Is Doing At Couple’s Booth

In Indiana, a woman was just finishing up her dinner at Texas Roadhouse when she turned around to flag down her server so she could pay the bill. As soon as the woman looked up, she saw a man who she later learned was a Marine, and she was completely taken aback by what she caught him doing.
In a social media post, Amanda Bischoff said that she noticed the elderly couple a few booths from her in the midst of a struggle during her Mother’s Day dinner. Evidently, she wasn’t the only one who saw what was going on, the couple’s server noticed too and instantly stopped what he was doing, despite how hectic the restaurant was.
Next thing Amanda knew, the waiter, who she found out happened to be Marine Corp infantryman veteran Tyler Guinther, went to the couple’s table and leaned over the elderly woman. She had been shaking very badly as a result of her old age, unable to cut her steak on her own because of it. Without hesitation, Tyler dropped every other task at hand and sliced up the woman’s food into bite-sized pieces, so she could enjoy it on a day to celebrate her as a mother and grandmother.

Amanda was floored that this man would not just notice, but act out of instinct and genuine concern for his customer. The teary-eyed witness snapped a photo to share online, along with the message that good deeds don’t have to be huge acts — sometimes the smallest gestures are the most meaningful.
The post has since gone viral, not just for showing that this man is a credit to his profession and the company he works for, but that chivalry and kindness are not dead. Later, when she learned from a friend of Tyler’s that the server is a Marine, the selflessness made all the more sense.
Assisting his fellow Americans wasn’t something Tyler left out in the battlefield when serving our country, it’s a part of who he is and continues to do now back at home waiting tables. In a society where most people are so focused on their own issues at hand, that they can’t see or sympathize with what others are dealing with, this hero proves the importance of leaving no man or elderly woman behind.
