This State Is Cracking Down On Parents Who Have Entitled, Disrespectful Kids

One state is going straight to the source to solve the problem of entitled, disrespectful kids, who are a nuisance in society and a problem to other people in the community. Parents who don’t want to discipline their children will now have to personally pay the price, and it couldn’t be more appropriate.

Officials in Cleveland, Ohio are fed up with dealing with other people’s teens who weren’t raised right and don’t feel like they have to follow the rules. They wreak havoc on teachers, cops, and innocent people just trying to go about their daily business, when they roam around town during school hours, violating the daytime curfew that’s in place for a reason.

Meanwhile, their irresponsible parents are blissfully unaware and probably just happy that their problem child is out of their hair and being supervised by someone else for a few hours each day. But it’s time for them to beheld responsible for their passive parenting.

Now in effect, when students are caught cutting class, the parents who can’t keep track of their kids and teach them how to follow the rules, will be forced into court. Parents of delinquent kids will be hit with a fine when they waste cops’ time, who have to stop these youth and take them back to class.

Curfew court at Jane Addams High School

Wednesday night was the first round of this new consequence, where a whopping 50 parents and their disrespectful students in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District went before a judge in a court setting at Jane Addams High School. Parents were arraigned on charges of their child’s curfew violation and given the option to accept the fine or plead not guilty. Those who declared their child’s innocence with a not guilty plea are forced to go to court again on the issue at the municipal court.

“If the parent does not show up here, this is a criminal proceeding,” Judge Emanuella Groves told Fox 8. “So a warrant will be issued for the parent’s arrest,” she said, adding that 76 parents were summoned.

It’s about time something is done to nip this epidemic of bad behavior in the bud, which starts at home. When parents don’t take responsibility for raising their children to be respectful, they go out in society and become everyone else’s problem. Essentially, Cleveland is having to parent the parents by punishing them if they don’t simply do what they signed on for when they brought a child into this world.
