Cop Leaves For Work, When He Steps Out The House And Looks At His Lawn? His Heart Drops
By Dreamer

An officer with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department felt sick when he walked outside and saw what was in his front yard. The scene made the threats recently issued on officers in his own department all the more real.
The unnamed cop went to work in the face of real fear, regardless of what he had to step over to get to his patrol car parked outside his home. Having snapped a picture of the reality he faced that morning, it was shared on his department’s Facebook page, where it instantly went viral in light of all the unrest against our badged heroes in blue.
Hearing of recent attacks on police officers, the two children of this particular IMPD officer were extra scared for their father to got to work and face the same horrifying fate. Knowing that their brave dad would still suit up and go out to serve and protect the community, facing extra threats against him for doing so, his young children did the only thing they knew to do, and that was to put his safety in God’s hands.

Wearing various parts of their father’s backup uniform, the boy and girl were seen down on their knees, hands clasped tightly, praying with every fiber of their being for protection over their dad and his safe return. The moving photo shines a light on the other side of this often thankless and always dangerous job, and that is the people cops leave at home who anxiously await their return, hoping today was like yesterday and tomorrow doesn’t bring bad news.
These children are being raised right by a man who demonstrates good character and shows them what loyalty looks like. Their kids go to bed each night, hoping to wake up to their cop mom or dad there in the morning.
