This recipe is so easy and turns out looking amazing! Learn how to make French Onion soup below.
First, cut french bread into one-inch slices and put them in the oven to bake.

Chop up 6 onions and 6 garlic cloves into halves and chunks.

Melt a half a stick of butter in a deep pan or skillet.

Once the heat gets going, throw in the garlic for a minute or two, then add in the onions and let everything caramelize for around 45 minutes.

Once they’re reduced, add half a cup of dry white wine and stir until a glaze forms.

Add 3 cups of low-sodium chicken broth.

Add a teaspoon of dijon mustard.

Now add 3 cups of beef broth and leave the pan to simmer for about 25 minutes.

Season to taste with a little salt and pepper.

Put the soup into bowls and add the bread, which should be nice and toasted by now, on top.

Then comes the coup de grace: grated Swiss cheese goes on top (about 1 cup should be enough for all the servings).

And some grated Parmesan (the recipe calls for half a cup total).

Lightly bake or broil until the cheese is melted and browned.

The last step? Enjoy!
