If You Get A Text Saying Your Apple ID Has Expired, Do NOT Open It! Here's Why...
By Michele

A new scam is tricking people into giving up their Apple passwords and other personal information. It looks so legitimate people could easily fall for it, no matter how many sophisticated scams we've seen before.
The Independent reports victims of the phishing scheme receive an unsolicited message which claims to come from Apple Inc.
They are then instructed to immediately change their Apple ID password before it expires, and are directed to a legitimate-looking website where they are asked to input their username and password.
Once victims have given their username and password, they are told their account has been locked for security reasons, and then asked to enter other personal information like their address or credit card details in order to unlock the account.

Many security-savvy people wouldn't be taken in by such a scheme, but the scammers have taken some measures to appear as real as possible, by using the recipient's real name in the text message and making their name appear in targets' phones as 'AppleInc'.

"The scammers have chosen their words carefully – making the message appear urgent to encourage as many people as possible to click on the link without properly considering the potential pitfalls," cybersecurity expert Graham Cluley wrote in a blog post.
Apple's phishing support page advises users to "never send credit card information, account passwords, or extensive personal information" to someone, unless they've fully verified the senders are who they say they are.
The best thing you can do is report it by forwarding the scam mail or message you received to reportphishing@apple.com.
Warn your kids and your friends and share this and let people know so no one falls for this scam!
