It's always a great start to the day when you wake up to a delicious, satisfying breakfast, but most of us just don't have the time in the morning. Getting, ready for work or rushing the kids off to school, you need every minute you can get. That is what makes this recipe so perfect!
Rather than force yourself out of bed extra early to prepare yourself or your kids a decent breakfast, or skipping breakfast for lack of time, let your slow cooker do the work for you! All you have to do is prepare a couple ingredients the night before and put them into the slow cooker. Then you can wake up to a hot and delicious breakfast the whole family will enjoy.
It's so easy to make. First grab a few slices of bread (any type of bread and even day-old bread works well), place the slices into your slow cooker. If you want you can break them up to make them more bite size or just leave them as whole slices.

You'll then assemble your mixture to soak the bread in, using a blend of eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and milk. If you want to get creative and add some more ingredients, feel free. You can even try adding in a little bit of orange liqueur instead of the vanilla extract!

Next, just pour the mixture over your bread, making sure each slice is fully and evenly coated.

Add a generous amount of delicious brown sugar over everything, cover your slow cooker and then let it cook for a few hours or overnight!

When you wake up in the morning, scoop yourself a little bit and enjoy! You can add some fresh fruit on top, maple syrup, ice cream, or whipped cream for an added touch of morning goodness! Pair it with a cup of coffee and you just gave yourself the perfect start to the day!
