5 Genius Ways To Decorate Easter Eggs In 2024
By Mike-Ross

Isn't Easter just the best? We're all about celebrating this holiday at home. It's a tradition for my whole fam to gather on the weekend, bust out the egg-decorating gear, and throw an epic Easter party. It's quality time with the fam plus a chance to let our creative juices flow - what's not to love? We go all out, getting super creative with our egg designs, and then we have a blast judging each other's masterpieces. Even the grown-ups get into it as much as the kiddos do!
Now, if you're struggling to empty out an egg, here's a nifty trick: poke a needle into the top and bottom to make small holes, ensuring the bottom hole is a tad bigger. Grab an empty plastic bottle, take off the cap, and place it upside down on the top hole of the egg. Squeeze the bottle, and watch the insides flow out into a bowl like magic.
But wait, there's more! The internet's chock-full of awesome Easter egg decorating ideas, and I'm here to share five super creative ones from Cleverly. Ever tried dyeing eggs with nail polish or using hot glue? Trust me, it's a game-changer! And if you're hungry for even more egg-cellent inspiration, check out the video below. Happy decorating!
Nail Polish Method:
Fill a bowl with water.
Add a few drops of nail polish in various colors to the water.
Submerge an empty egg into the water, allowing the nail polish to adhere to the egg.
Once coated, remove the egg from the water and let it dry.
Red Wine Method:
Place a flower, face down, onto an empty egg.
Wrap an old nylon stocking tightly around the egg, ensuring the flower remains flat against the surface.
Secure the stocking at both ends.
Fill a glass with red wine and immerse the egg into the wine.
Allow the egg to soak for approximately one hour.
Remove the stocking and flower from the egg and let it dry.
Onion Skin Method:
Place a leaf onto an empty egg, similar to the flower in the previous method.
Wrap the egg with nylon stocking and tie it securely.
In a pot filled with water, add onion skins.
Place the egg into the pot and let it boil for about 15 minutes.
Remove the egg from the pot and unwrap the nylon and leaf.
Allow the egg to dry completely.

4 – Hot Glue
Dip a paper towel in vegetable oil, then wipe it onto the egg shell. Using hot glue, make a continuous swirl on the shell by rotating it as you put the glue. Or you can be creative and do any design you want. Drop into an Easter egg dye and let it soak for 20 minutes. Remove then let it dry. Once dry, remove the dried glue.

5 – Shaving Cream
Add shaving cream on a container then drop some food coloring. Swirl the food coloring using a toothpick. Gently roll the egg then let it sit overnight. Wipe it clean and it’s done.
