6-year-old boy saved his money for over a year to buy a puppy — his grandma’s surprise brought him to tears

In an incredibly heartwarming viral video, a young boy experiences a special surprise from his grandparents — and his reaction is bound to bring tears to your eyes.
Xander Mellor, a 6-year-old from Springfield, Illinois, diligently saved up spare change for 18 months just so he could buy his very own puppy.
"Every time I got home from work, I'd empty my pockets and hand him all the change I had left from the day," revealed his mother, Natalie Ellenburg, as reported by Daily Mail.
Then, one day, while visiting his grandparents' house, Xander was told to step outside for a surprise. With anticipation building, he closed his eyes and extended his hands...

It was the family’s first dog. Natalie said they named the dog “Marshmallow,” or “Mello” for short. After that beautiful surprise, Xander and Mello have become best friend and have been inseparable ever since.
