For this DIY fly deterrent, you'll need a clear plastic ziplock bag, a handful of metal coins, water, and a trusty rubber band. First, fill the bag with water and toss in the coins. Then, seal it tight with the rubber band. It might look a tad odd, but believe me, it does the trick. Hang these makeshift fly repellents in spots where those pests like to loiter, and you'll be surprised how effective they are.
