Reporter investigating a stolen dog spots the thief walking it down the street and saves the day

Dognapping incidents are deeply unsettling and occur daily. However, a recent event showcased how a sharp eye and a stroke of luck can reunite a lost dog with its owner.
Juliana Mazza, a Boston-based reporter, proved that heroes can emerge unexpectedly. While covering a dognapping story for 7News, she noticed a dog resembling the missing pup, Titus. The 13-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer had been taken from the same parking lot days before, leaving owner Greg Siesczkiewicz heartbroken.
Thinking on her feet, Juliana approached the man and asked if he would like to be interviewed for the news. While interacting with him, she discreetly checked the dog’s tag and confirmed her suspicion—this was indeed Titus. The man standing before her turned out to be the dognapper.
Juliana skillfully engaged the man in conversation, gradually applying pressure until he realized he had been caught red-handed on camera.
Juliana called 911 and within minutes the dognapper was apprehended and charged with larceny and breaking into a vehicle.
The most heartwarming moment came when Greg was finally reunited with his precious dog. Overwhelmed with emotion, Greg hugged Titus as tightly as he could with tears streaming down his face. Titus, too, displayed his delight at being back in the arms of his adoring owner.
