A Mother texts her husband whose on deployment that the newborn twins are OK, but he’s standing right behind her
By Mike-Ross

Working away from home can be pretty challenging, and it’s can be even tougher if your time away coincides with a major life event.
This was the situation for Skyler Cooper, a soldier with the Army National Guard out of Kansas who spent seven months on deployment in Kuwait. Skyler’s wife Cydney stayed behind with their two children while she was pregnant with twins.

At about 33 weeks into her pregnancy, Cydney caught the flu. Due to complications from their mother’s illness, twins Emma and Kyla were born prematurely.
Times were tough and Cydney missed Skylar more than ever. She admitted that she was “hanging on by a string.”
One day Cydney was visiting her newborn twins in the hospital when she received a text from her husband asking how the twins were doing. Then the best possible surprise happened — Cydney turned her head and saw that Skylar was standing behind her.
