Father of 4 card declines at cash register, then sees an Police Officer running over
By Mike-Ross

Officer Michael Kelly was working security at a local Walmart in Cleveland, Tennessee when he noticed a father and four children struggling at the self-checkout lane.
The father’s credit card had been declined and he had no other way to pay for the groceries. The four children stood patiently and quietly as their father swallowed his pride, apologized to a staff member, and started to leave the store.
Officer Kelly could have stood still and watched the sad scene play out, but he couldn’t live with himself knowing those kids may not have enough to eat.

“The little girl’s face got me,” Kelly said in an interview. “Her eyes were welling up and it broke my heart. I felt God telling me, ‘I put you up here for a reason.’”
“I walked up to [the man] and said, “Please let me bless you today.”
Jermaine Bowe, a fellow shopper, was a bystander who witnessed the entire scene. He went home and posted about what he saw on Facebook. His story quickly went viral and (with the help of Jermaine’s description) members of the local community were able to identify Officer Kelly and thank him for his act of charity.
