Toddler goes to give pizza delivery man a big hug, but didn’t realize his own child had just passed away
By Mike-Ross

Normally, pizza delivery drivers are quick to hop in their car and head to the next delivery as soon as they have dropped off your food. But 2-year-old Cohen Sheely, of West Warwick, Rhode Island, wasn’t ready to let her delivery man, Ryan Catterson, leave without a hug.
The moment was captured by the Sheely family’s doorbell security camera video below. Paired with the heartwarming story behind it, this footage quickly went viral.
“I put it up on my Instagram,” Lindsey said in an interview with Fox 8 News. “Actually, I just put it up in my [Instagram] stories because we thought it was funny and cute.”

Little Cohen had no idea just how special her hug would be. Just days before, Catterson lost his 16-year-old daughter who struggled with mental health issues while living with her mother in California.
“After losing my daughter this past week, it just touched me because it was like she was there, you know, and it just meant a ton to me,” he shared.
“It’s so easy to miss people and their internal pain,” Danielle McCord, Catterson’s ex-wife told Fox 8. “That even goes to our daughter, you know. We didn’t know her pain.”
“It’s going to be tough to know that I’m not going to be able to hug her again,” Catterson added.
After the video below went viral, Catterson reached out to the Sheely family to let them know just how much Cohen’s gesture of kindness meant to him. “That might have been [my daughter] just looking out for me at the time,” he said of the hug. “Those words mean something, made me think, ‘Wow, maybe she’s there.’”
