In Alabama, a 12-year-old girl managed to escape her kidnappers by chewing through her restraints. The pre-teen, who is being hailed as a hero, aided an ongoing investigation that resulted in the discovery of two bodies and the arrest of a suspect.
The young girl was spotted by a driver near Dadeville, Alabama, who immediately called 911. First responders were able to provide the child with medical attention. According to reports, the girl had been drugged and bound to bedposts and suffered minor head trauma.

Authorities later made a grisly discovery of two decomposing bodies belonging to 29-year-old Sandra Vazquez Ceja and a 14-year-old boy whose identity was not released by authorities. Officers commented that the bodies were “cut into small pieces at the joints to hide evidence.”
José Pascual-Reyes, 37, was identified as the suspect. Pascual-Reyes was arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping, three counts of capital murder, and two counts of abusing a corpse.
