Young soldier is stuck at airport for days until a stranger refuses to just let him sit there
By Mike-Ross

Keaton Tilson, a 19-year-old US Army mechanic from Granite City, Illinois, was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas, and had been granted last-minute leave to return home. Keaton hadn’t seen his family since Christmas and was missing them terribly.
Due to the short notice of his leave, he was stranded in a Dallas airport for two days. Every time he tried to fly standby, he was dismayed to find that all of the seats were already taken. As the days passed, the young man realized his chances of returning home to visit his family were dwindling; he only had a few days left over Memorial Day weekend to see them.
But Keaton had no idea what a complete stranger was about to do next. Josh Rainey, a Missouri man, had been watching Keaton anxiously trying to board an aircraft.

Josh’s father was a former police officer and a member of the armed forces, so he empathized with the distressed teen soldier.
Josh offered to give up his own plane ticket out of kindness, but the agent told him that was against the rules. Josh was frustrated that he couldn’t help, so he sought guidance from his wife.
Minutes later, Josh approached Keaton again with an extraordinary offer — and in response, Keaton asked Josh a question that sent both men to tears.
See how these two men formed a lifelong bond in the video below.
