6-year-old in critical condition after deadly tornado leaves her dangling from a tree
By Mike-Ross

A mere 6-year-old girl is left fighting for her life after an EF-3 tornado hit her mobile home in Central Texas on Tuesday. While her parents and 1-year-old brother were present during the storm, Miriam Rios sustained the most injuries after she was shockingly tossed hundreds of yards from her home as the strong winds ripped through the area. The little girl was later found dangling upside down from a tree.
The heartbreaking incident happened just days before Miriam's 7th birthday and she was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. According to KWQC, Miriam's pregnant mother Vanessa Rios was thrown to the other side of the house while her husband, Joel, ended up being tossed around inside. As for their one-year-old baby boy, Ezra, he was thrown out of the home and landed in a field.
The whole family was taken to the hospital where Vanessa was delivered distressing news about her miscarriage. Her brother, Stephen Perez, told the outlet that the youngest child had suffered the least severe injuries and is expected to be discharged soon. As for the rest of the family, they have already undergone several operations.

Stephen told KWQC that the family did try to escape the storm by driving away but they were forced to return home when it began to hail. "(Their mom) remembers waking up, rolling over on her side, and seeing her daughter in a tree and she can't get up or do anything. She just rolled over and cried," shared Perez of the heartbreaking moment, adding how the family lost everything in the devastating storm including their house. "It's just the foundation that's left. There's absolutely nothing."
A GoFundMe page has thus been created to raise enough money so the Rios family is able to navigate through this difficult time a little better. "I am raising money to support my sister and her family through a tornado catastrophe. I would really appreciate the help of others to help rebuild their home after a tornado," read the page.
"And with the family being in the home while the tornado taking away everything they’ve worked so desperately hard for; they manage to hang on to each other. The family at this time has severely been injured in the process of the storm along with her husband Joel and two children their daughter Mariam and one-year-old baby boy Ezra. We hope and wish them great health and a speedy recovery," it continued.
"Our goal is to raise 80,000 dollars to help rebuild their home and put them back on their feet. And to give them the hope and motivation to keep on fighting. The Rios family not only thanks to you for your donations but for your concern and valuable time. Thank you!" concluded the fundraiser page which has already exceeded its goal amount of $80,000.
