Sarah was deaf for most of her life, and 34 years later, she finally got a new hearing aid allowing her to hear the sounds around her.
Everything was new. It was like she was experiencing everything for the first time.
It didn’t come cheap. This special type of technology can cost around $30,000. That money is nothing to sneeze at. That’s when her mother-in-law Lari decided to step in, but she kept it a secret.
Lari took money out of her retirement fund to pay for Sarah’s new ability to hear.
